How to Write a Book Proposal Self-Guided Course | Available February 16
Self-Guided One-Month Program
A structured, expert-designed path to a market-ready book proposal. On your time, with clear weekly guidance.
This self-guided version of my live one-month cohort is designed for writers who want professional structure and momentum without live sessions or group accountability.
Over four weeks, you will work through the same core framework I use with private clients and cohort students to develop strong, saleable nonfiction book proposals.
How it works
This program runs in monthly cycles.
During the month the program is active, you will receive:
Weekly worksheets and prompts, released each Monday
Pre-recorded instructional videos tied to that week’s work
Clear deliverables that build toward a complete proposal
You work independently, on your own schedule, within the structure of that month.
Access timeline
Materials are released during the month the program is available
Video access remains open for six months from the start of the program
Worksheets are yours to download and keep
This structure allows you to work at your own pace while still benefiting from a defined timeline.
What you will build
By the end of the program, you will have:
A clear, compelling book concept
A polished proposal overview and positioning
Defined audience and market framing
A full chapter outline
A strong understanding of how your proposal fits into the publishing landscape
What is included
Four weeks of guided curriculum
Weekly worksheets and prompts
Pre-recorded video instruction
Six months of access to video materials
What is not included
This self-guided program does not include:
Live coworking sessions
Group jam sessions
1:1 feedback or coaching
These elements are intentionally excluded to keep the program flexible and focused.
Optional add-ons
Available as à la carte upgrades:
1:1 coaching sessions
Proposal reviews
Live coworking or jam sessions (when available)
You can add support at any point during or after the program.
Investment
$1895 USD
or
Two payments of $1,100, billed one month apart
Who this is for
This program is a good fit if you:
Want a serious, structured approach to writing a book proposal
Prefer working independently with expert guidance
Do not need live sessions or group accountability
Want flexibility with a clear start and end point
If you are looking for live interaction or hands-on feedback, the live cohort or private consulting options may be a better fit.
